About the EP
Blue Mangata is the debut EP from guitarist Rick Kelly on Indigo Jazz — five original instrumental tracks weaving jazz, fusion, and ambient mood. The title track is out now as an early release on YouTube, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp. The full EP arrives at the end of June 2026.
The title track opens with a single arpeggiated figure that expands into something vast and still. Each of the five pieces carries its own emotional weather, moving from introspection to momentum and back again.

A mangata is the road-like reflection
of the moon on still water —
a shimmering path
that leads somewhere just out of reach.
The Swedish word for this phenomenon captures something music reaches for too: beauty that feels tangible yet always slightly beyond you. “Blue Mangata” was written to exist in that space.
